“I just hated to see people unable to move forward in their lives,” she said.
In the 20 years since she began FIT, nearly 4,200 unemployed and underemployed Nevadans have found jobs that pay enough to make them able to support a family without public assistance.
Crystal has over 20 years’ experience in the non-profit sector focusing on the betterment of the community and its people. “I am so happy to be working for FIT and seeing how FIT is changing the lives of Las Vegans one person at a time.” In her spare time, Crystal likes to read true crime novels, travel and spend time with her Godchildren in California.
Donna, B.A. Hofstra University, and a licensed CPA, is responsible for fiscal and compliance monitoring for each program and grant.
When Donna isn’t crunching numbers at the office, she enjoys spending time with her dog and her husband.
Anyone and everyone who steps in the FIT facility always remarks how clean and beautiful our building is. That’s because of our Facility Manager, Tony. Tony enjoys his collection of DVDs and riding his motorcycle.
Fabiola, currently studying accounting at the College of Southern Nevada, says “Everyone here is very caring, loving and sincere about helping others. We all care about the community.”
She adds: “I enjoy hiking with my girls on the weekends.”

An avid motorcyclist and fitness enthusiast, Curtis enjoys reading books such as Enders Game.

Anna enjoys traveling and live music in her spare time.
UNLV graduate, Ashley says: “Helping clients get on their feet is invaluable. I love the team here.”
In her time off, Ashley loves to read, spend time with her husband and cat, travel and attend events at the Smith Center.
Brandon was previously a chef and has always enjoyed working with people. He is currently working on his degree in Criminal Justice.
His favorite food is In-N-Out burgers. In his spare time he collects comic books.

Carl is a native of Las Vegas and a former educator. “It is very rewarding to help and watch people grow and move closer to their goals in life. We focus on inspiring all of the clients that come through our doors. I have witnessed some amazing things here at FIT. I am extremely proud and honored to be a part of this wonderful team.”
A University of Phoenix graduate, Karina, said the key to FIT is the teamwork.
“There is no greater feeling than hearing success stories from our clients. Stories like that are so gratifying and it’s always rewarding to share their stories.”
Growing up Karla dreamed of becoming a radio host but after getting her first job as a Case Manager, helping others became her true passion. Karla truly enjoys seeing others succeed and growing into their full potential and purpose. “Working at FIT allows me to follow this passion and the staff really make this an enjoyable place. I love cooking and spending family time with my husband and children.”

B.A., Eastern Michigan University, recalls a highlight was the time a client called to wish her happy birthday. “Watching people beat the odds even when they doubt themselves is incredible.”
Rita loves to travel, read books and attend concerts.
For five years, Salina has been the administrative support for the case management team. She notes: “We have a pretty awesome team. The group dynamic makes working here really pleasant.”
Salina enjoys sewing, baking and hanging out with her family.
